Everything you need is within you, the strength, courage and confidence to change your life. You just need to look within yourself and find it.

The chakras are fundamental points in our body because they are strong energy centers that connect the soul.

When the chakras are open, the energy can flow freely with positive effects for both the mind and the body, but when activity of chakra is block or low, you will have feel difficulty in expressing with those particular qualities of this chakra.

The chakra centers starts with the root chakra, which is located at the base of your spine and ends at the crown chakra at the top of your head. 

All the 7 chakras can be activated or energized with the help of meditation like sit in silence and visualize the color and figure of that particular chakra that you are opening, concentrate on breathing process and location of that chakra. Don’t forget to chant the seed mantra of that specific chakra.

1. Root chakra (Muladhara chakra)

The seed mantra of muladhara chakra is ‘Lam’.

The root chakra is located at the base of your spine between the anus and the genitals. It is represented by the colour red. It provides you a base or foundation for life. Your root chakra is responsible for your sense of security and stability. When this chakra is out of balance, a person might feel unstable, lack of ambition, fearful, insecure and frustrated. However when root chakra is balanced a person might feel stable, confident, balanced, energetic, independent and strong. Balancing the root chakra creates a solid foundation for opening all the other six chakras. 

2. Sacral chakra (Svadhisthana chakra)

The seed mantra of svadhisthana chakra is ‘Vam’.

The sacral chakra is located about four fingers below the navel. It is represented by the colour orange. This chakra is responsible for your emotions, your creativity, sensitivity, sexuality, intimacy, emotional well-being, and self-expression. Svadhisthana means “where your being is established”. The sacral chakra is associated with the bladder, kidneys, and reproductive organs. This energy assists in letting go, accepting change, and transformation in life.

3. Solar plexus chakra (Manipura chakra)

The seed mantra of manipura chakra is ‘Ram’.

The solar plexus chakra is located above the navel (between the navel and the bottom of the rib cage). It represents the colour yellow that brings brightness and balance of energy. It’s responsible for confidence and self-esteem. This chakra is also characterized by energy and emotions like ego, anger and aggression. The solar plexus focuses on the power and autonomy of metabolism. The element for the solar plexus is fire. Activating the fire within moderate body temperature helps in food digestion.

4. Heart chakra (Anahata chakra)

The seed mantra of anahata chakra is ‘Yam’.

The heart chakra is located near your heart, in the center of your chest. This chakra is denoted by the colour green. It comes as no surprise that the heart chakra is all about our ability to love and show compassion. When the heart chakra open, you’ll feel an abundance of empathy, compassion, and love. This translates not just towards others but also to oneself. A balanced chakra allows people to be who they are, instead of attempting to dismiss or change according to external expectations.

5. Throat chakra (Vishuddha chakra)

The seed mantra of vishuddha chakra is ‘Ham’.

The throat chakra is located in your throat. It is represented by the colour blue. It represents inspiration and expression. Vishuddha chakra establishes a strong connection to both verbal and body language. The throat chakra restores the energy by detoxifying the impurities from the body and mind. This chakra is all about expressing yourself. It fills you with the truth, with your purpose in life, and with an abundant source of creativity.

6. Third eye chakra (Ajna chakra)

The seed mantra of ajna chakra is ‘Om’.

The third eye chakra is located between the eyebrows, at the center of your head. It is symbolised by the colour indigo. You can thank this chakra for a strong gut instinct. That’s because the third eye is responsible for intuition and it’s also linked to imagination. While the two physical eyes see the past and the present, the third eye reveals insight into the future. This chakra establishes a connection with the external world through inner vision.

7. Crown chakra (Sahasrara chakra)

The seed mantra of sahastrara chakra is ‘Aum’.

The crown chakra is located at the top of your head. It is symbolised by the colour violet. Your sahasrara represents your spiritual connection to yourself, others and the universe. It also plays a role in your life’s purpose. When the sahasrara chakra activates, it brings a more positive outlook on life. There are visible changes in our habits and attitude. The Self is no longer ruled by the ego. Emotions like gratitude, compassion, and acceptance become our true self. It is a rejection of all negative thoughts that bring unhappiness and stress in our lives. A balanced crown chakra brings spiritual understanding and peace with a clear perspective. When the crown chakra is unbalanced or blocked, you may experience disappointment, sadness, and restlessness.
